Meet Dale
Dale Kuhn got her real estate license in 1994, and currently works in the John L. Scott Lake Oswego office. She has worked with relocation clients since 1996 and has first-hand moving experience (from moving to and from New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Illinois, California and Arizona) that truly gives her an insight into how relocating feels for her clients. Before working in real estate, she was a stay-at-home mom who spent countless hours volunteering at her children’s schools.
Dale was drawn to real estate because she is interested in all the decisions that go into turning a house into a home. She studied interior design and art in school, so it’s natural for her to visualize potential and possibilities of a space or home she’s viewing. The problem-solving and support Dale provides inspires her and makes her career in real estate fulfilling work.
Dale specializes in providing expert local knowledge that allows her new clients to understand the Portland metro area for themselves and their family. Her extensive experience living in other parts of the country uniquely positions Dale to effectively help relocation clients understand the area – she can easily communicate the similarities and differences from parts of the U.S., from Portland to the East Coast, Midwest or Southwest. Relocating five times in 16 years with corporate transfers, Dale truly understands the frustration and stress (and hopefully ultimate happiness) that can come with relocating.
When working with her clients, Dale is careful and diligent when conducting research so they are able to make an intelligent decision they are confident in. She prides herself in client-centric service and doing whatever it takes to earn the title of “realtor for life.” Dale is a valuable asset to clients, sharing her knowledge and expertise so they can understand the process of buying or selling a home.
Dale loves helping people and making others feel taken care of and happy. She’s devoted her entire adult life to causes that support education and children’s services. She strongly believes that school districts and local communities and the services they provide are cornerstones of any neighborhood. This belief drives her real estate approach and has inspired her to dedicate her time to support the local community. She’s spent 34 years in Portland involved with the Trillium Family Services and their Chrysalis program and Waverly Children’s Home in many capacities, from board member to volunteer.
Dale can be found gardening and walking in the park in her spare time. Dale also likes to travel, especially when she’s able to enjoy cities, architecture, fine dining, wine tasting and great hotels.
