Dreaming of the future...or building it? Of course, everyone says building your future is better. But, where I come from, that answer has a special meaning.
 
Hello! I’m Gabriel Chavez of NorthStar Wealth Group—a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC. At NorthStar Wealth Group we educate, guide, and advise folks like you on how to make better decisions with your money, so you can enjoy greater peace of mind, help secure what matters most in your life, and make a lasting impact on the people you care about.

My parents were the kind of people who refused to merely dream about a better future- they wanted to build it. After I earned my college degree and after beginning my career in financial services, two of the most impactful lessons I learned from my parents guided me: The biggest risk in life is not taking one and you cannot do it all by yourself.

These lessons still guide me today. 
 
Why dream it when you can build it instead?
 
Another lesson I learned from my mom — a care worker for Children’s Services — that continues to drive me today: It is easier to stay motivated when you’re building something for others. For me, I build for my wife Allison and our two children. My leadership team and I build for our passionate professionals at NorthStar Wealth Group and, it means that I build for you, our clients! Whether I’m working with a CFO on mapping out sophisticated strategies to take advantage of complex compensation packages, helping steward multi-generational wealth for a family, or educating professionals on retirement planning, my approach is the same- to build on your goals!

Had more than a total of three settled or pending complaints filed against them and/or a total of five settled, pending, dismissed or denied complaints with any regulatory authority or FSP's consumer complaint process. Unfavorable feedback may have been discovered through a check of complaints registered with a regulatory authority or complaints registered through FSP's consumer complaint process; feedback may not be representative of any one client's experience; C. Individually contributed to a financial settlement of a customer complaint; D. Filed for personal bankruptcy within the past 11 years; E.
