Professional Approach
Coming from humble roots in rural Missouri, Ryan pursued finance in order to gain the knowledge to be financially self-sufficient. After a stint in investment banking, he left the corporate side of the industry to help hardworking individuals pursue a more successful investing path after seeing how his grandmother had benefited from a financial advisor’s guidance in handling a small life insurance benefit from his late grandfather. Over several years and countless amounts of research, Ryan created a process to put the pieces of the financial puzzle together to help clients pursue goals such as a work-optional lifestyle, slowing life down, restoring liberation and order, and ensuring they are enjoying the fruits of their work ethic and sense of purpose.
Ryan became a licensed financial advisor while in college, was the first in his start group to get promoted out of the management training program at a large regional bank, successfully built a brokerage office from scratch at 23 for a large international brokerage firm, grew a subsequent branch’s equity IPO business by ten-fold, and started his own firm at age 30.
Ryan is a Certified Financial Planner® practitioner, ten-time (2016-2025) Five Star Wealth Manager award winner, was named a Rising Star award winner (2011) by KC Business Magazine, and has been quoted on the markets and financial planning in CNN, Forbes, CNBC, Yahoo Finance, The Kansas City Star and The Kansas City Business Journal. His prior civic roles include: Finance Chair on Kansas City Club board of directors, President of the Kansas City Chapter of the MU Business School Alumni Association, Board Member of the KC chapter of the MU Alumni Association, Board Member of Young Friends of the Northland – a Greater Kansas City Community Foundation sponsored organization, MU Business School Mentor, Eagle Scout volunteer, Chairman of the Ambassador Group for the Northland Chamber of Commerce, Ambassador for the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, and Guest Finance Lecturer for the Helzberg School of Management at Rockhurst University.
Ryan double majored in Finance and Real Estate at the University of Missouri where he was a student senator, homecoming king candidate, and named Most Outstanding Brother by his social fraternity. In addition to founding the wealth management firm, he is a private investor in real estate developments containing 593 luxury apartments, approximately 100,000 square feet of office space, and 68,000 square feet of retail space.
More entertainingly, there was a period during his 20s when he was also the drummer in a small-time rock ‘n’ roll band that had over 40 original songs and a stable of 80s and early 90s classic rock covers. Some of the original songs can be found and played on streaming services.
