Jody graduated from Fredericksburg High School and then the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. He also received his Sales Professional Certificate from the Program for Excellence in Selling at the Bauer College of Business.

He began his financial career with Wells Fargo Bank as a Personal Banker in Houston. He later received his Securities licenses Series 7, 66* and Group 1 Insurance licenses with Wells Fargo Investments in 2004. After 5 years of helping clients at Wells Fargo Investments he joined his mother, Sharon Joseph and Joseph Financial Partners in January 2009.

Jody enjoys helping and educating others so community involvement is important to him. He volunteers for FISD Community Education, teaching classes on financial matters. He reads to Fredericksburg Elementary School kids as a mentor and to Bethany Preschooler kids. Jody is a 2010 graduate of the Gillespie County Leadership program where he served as class President. He also served on the Gillespie County Historical Society Board where he Chaired and managed the Roots Music Concerts fundraisers for 5 years.

He currently volunteers as President of the Fredericksburg Dog Park Association, Past President of the Fredericksburg Rotary Club and Chair of the Underwriting Committee for the Hill Country Memorial Hospital Foundation Gala. He is also a Board Member for The Hill Country Memorial Foundation Investment Committee. He is a member of and volunteers for Bethany Lutheran Church as the Chair of the Bethany Ramp Team, building ramps for local handicapped residents providing access to their homes.

He enjoys watching sports, mostly the Cowboys and Astros. He also enjoys live music, playing golf and is a dedicated husband and dog person. He brings his Great Dane, Molly, and Australian German Shepherd, Waylon, to work everyday to lounge in his office together.
