About Dave Mabie and Chi-Cap
Dave Mabie has been in the investment business since 1991. Dave co-founded Chicago Capital in 2018 after holding portfolio management and research roles with William Blair and Stein Roe & Farnham. Early in his career, Dave was an analyst at A.C. Nielsen.
Dave is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA society of Chicago. He has been named a Top Financial Advisor by Barron’s, a Best-In-State Wealth Advisor by Forbes, a Notable Financial Advisor by Crain’s, and a Five Star Wealth Manager by Chicago Magazine. Dave has been featured by the Wall Street Journal, Chicago Sun Times, Chicago Financial Times, Family Wealth Report, and other publications.
Dave is a Trustee of Lewis & Clark College and a member of the Advisory Board of the Bates Center for Entrepreneurship and Leadership. He is a Director of the Chicago High School for the Arts (ChiArts) Foundation and a director of the Franklin Philanthropic Foundation. He is a member of the Springboard Foundation, the Finance Committee of the University Club of Chicago, and the Investment Committee of the School for Little Children. Dave is a member and manager of Cache Creek Ranch LLC, which owns and operates a cattle ranch in Wilsall, Montana.
