When Tami Channel and Carrie Panacek decided to leverage their

years of mortgage banking industry experience and establish C&T

Mortgage in 2007, they set in motion a success story that keeps our

faith in the American dream alive.

The women— who have been best friends for 20-plus years—didn’t

skip a beat when the subprime mortgage crisis hit in 2008. As many

mortgage bankers struggled, they continued to build their company

by offering affordable rates, personalized attention, and going

the extra mile for their clients. Since opening, C&T Mortgage has

closed thousands of loans in Texas and has sustained growth that

is referral-based. All this and more highlights Carrie and Tami’s

“We treat clients like we would want to be treated, and work hard to

help them feel comfortable and informed throughout the mortgage

process. We accomplish this by tailoring loans to meet the needs

of each individual customer, and by providing information and

knowledge so they understand their loan. Our goal is to enable

concerns,” says Tami.

Carrie adds, “We’re a close-knit, family-based company that extends

this feeling to our customers. We look out for their best interest,

and would never put someone into a loan we wouldn’t recommend

to a family member. We go home to our families and sleep at night

knowing we’ve done our very best for our customers.”
