Professional Approach

Jen has found throughout the course of her career that, for her, professional fulfillment requires personal connection. She is passionate about working closely with each client to create dynamic, highly personalized action plans. Recognizing that financial independence is crucial no matter what curveballs life may throw, she prides herself on her ability to demystify financial advising and provide her clients a genuine human experience. With well over a decade of industry experience, Jen graduated summa cum laude from Centenary College of Louisiana, and holds a Masters Degree from the University of Texas at Austin in addition to an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.  She has been quoted by Forbes, MarketWatch, Investor Business Daily, PolicyGenius and ThinkAdvisor.

As a Certified Financial Planner™, she has a diverse background. Having worked with everything from Fortune 500s to small- and mid-sized privately held companies, she now chooses to channel her time and attention into one-on-one advising. Both personally and professionally, Jen has been a long-standing advocate for women in the workforce, and specializes in helping her clients navigate emotionally-charged periods of transition, particularly after divorce or the loss of a loved one. With her compassionate nature and innate ability to identify and clarify unspoken needs, she takes pride in her ability to guide and advise.

Jen enjoys mentoring and supporting women from all walks of life. She is currently involved with a Working Moms Group at the First United Methodist Church in Richardson, and plays an active role in both the Texas Women’s Foundation and the Financial Planners Association of Dallas-Ft. Worth. Outside the office, Jen is an ardent self-help book reader, podcast enthusiast and currently lives in Garland with her beautiful family including three teenagers and two very well-loved dogs.  Her family is built on a love of Broadway musicals!

Wealth managers do not pay a fee to be considered or placed on the final list of Five Star Wealth Managers. The award is based on 10 objective criteria. Eligibility criteria-required: 1. Credentialed as a registered investment adviser (RIA) or a registered investment adviser representative; 2. Actively licensed as a RIA or as a principal of a registered investment adviser firm for a minimum of 5 years; 3. Favorable regulatory and complaint history review (As defined by FSP, the wealth manager has not; A. Been subject to a regulatory action that resulted in a license being suspended or revoked, or payment of a fine; B. Had more than a total of three settled or pending complaints filed against them and/or a total of five settled, pending, dismissed or denied complaints with any regulatory authority or FSP's consumer complaint process. Unfavorable feedback may have been discovered through a check of complaints registered with a regulatory authority or complaints registered through FSP's consumer complaint process; feedback may not be representative of any one client's experience; C. Individually contributed to a financial settlement of a customer complaint; D. Filed for personal bankruptcy within the past 11 years; E. Been terminated from a financial services firm within the past 11 years; F. Been convicted of a felony); 4. Fulfilled their firm review based on internal standards; 5. Accepting new clients.
