Nicholas Magone’s passion for wealth management began early on, thanks to his grandfather. Giuseppe Magone emigrated to the U.S. from the Campania region of Italy with limited resources and education, yet through the financial markets became a symbol for financial independence.

Says Nicholas, "From a very young age, I saw my grandfather as an inspiration—teaching me about the financial system, the value of a dollar, and common-sense principals of personal wealth management."

Nicholas focused his studies at Seton Hall University toward a career in wealth management. When he began his professional career, he quickly realized that too many people don’t achieve financial freedom due to a lack of sound, objective advice and knowledgeable guidance.

In partnership with his father, NJ CPA Nick Magone, Nicholas now works with individuals and business owners who are motivated to develop a financial game plan and help enhance their financial future.

A Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistSM, Nicholas consulted as a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley and gained wealth management experience at various other financial firms. He has worked extensively in tax-efficient investment strategies, corporate retirement and hybrid pension plans, estate planning strategies, succession planning, college planning, life and long-term-care insurance, and lifestyle budgeting/retirement income generation. His youth belies his considerable experience coaching clients to a well-rounded understanding of their financial options.

An avid sports fan and athlete. Nicholas often attends Seton Hall Basketball and Giants games and enjoys playing soccer, weightlifting and snowboarding.

Nick Magone lends a global view to the wealth management process based on his 25+ years of financial, tax, and business advisory experience. A former “Big Four” professional and founder of two successful CPA firms, Nick saw a gap in how his business clients were managing their wealth management and financial planning needs.

Says Nick, “Individuals and businesses are usually stuck dealing with separate companies for tax and wealth management support. This can be a tremendous disservice if the two advisors don’t communicate effectively. You also run the risk of conflicting advice and a reactionary plan rather than a proactive strategy.”

As with Magone & Company’s CPA services, Campania Wealth Management is the embodiment of Nick’s guiding professional principle—that numbers are just the beginning. “A financial plan or tax preparation is just the start of the value we deliver. Nick is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, and Financial Planning Association. A Seton Hall University alumnus, Magone is a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey and New York, a Certified Financial Planner®, and has both Series 63 and Series 7 securities licenses.

When not working on innovative client strategies, he enjoys golf, honing his Italian language skills, and cheering on the Seton Hall Pirates basketball team with his family.

Wealth managers do not pay a fee to be considered or placed on the final list of Five Star Wealth Managers. The award is based on 10 objective criteria. Eligibility criteria-required: 1. Credentialed as a registered investment adviser (RIA) or a registered investment adviser representative; 2. Actively licensed as a RIA or as a principal of a registered investment adviser firm for a minimum of 5 years; 3. Favorable regulatory and complaint history review (As defined by FSP, the wealth manager has not; A. Been subject to a regulatory action that resulted in a license being suspended or revoked, or payment of a fine; B. Had more than a total of three settled or pending complaints filed against them and/or a total of five settled, pending, dismissed or denied complaints with any regulatory authority or FSP's consumer complaint process. Unfavorable feedback may have been discovered through a check of complaints registered with a regulatory authority or complaints registered through FSP's consumer complaint process; feedback may not be representative of any one client's experience; C. Individually contributed to a financial settlement of a customer complaint; D. Filed for personal bankruptcy within the past 11 years; E. Been terminated from a financial services firm within the past 11 years; F. Been convicted of a felony); 4. Fulfilled their firm review based on internal standards; 5. Accepting new clients.
