Professional Approach

Ms. Joseph is a Partner and Senior Advisor at Telemus Capital, LLC . Previously she also served as co- Chief Investment Officer. She is a voting member of the Investment Committee which makes asset allocation and manager selection decisions for the entire firm. 

Ms. Joseph also helps significant families create, implement, and monitor asset allocations and oversee their managers. Ms. Joseph has broad experience managing equity strategies, fixed income, and sophisticated diversifying strategies. She is also experienced in equity, fixed income, and company analysis, and has developed proprietary analytical frameworks for macroeconomic and fundamental analysis.

Previous Experience

Her previous analytical and portfolio management experience includes: Managing Member and Chief Investment Officer, Barrington Strategic Wealth Management Group LLC, Chief Investment Officer and Managing Director of the Strategic Wealth Management Group of Dearborn Partners, Senior Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager, Mesirow Financial Investment Management; Portfolio Manager, Harris Associates, LP. Further experience includes the practice of complex commercial litigation at Hinshaw & Culbertson, while developing an independent performance track record. She has also held positions in banking and law.

Civic and Charitable Engagement

Ms. Joseph has participated in many civic organizations, including; Delegate to the Investment Committee (10 years), the Investment Policy Subcommittee (7 years), Chair (3 years), Member (10 years) Core/Traditional Asset Subgroup, Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago; Member, Circle of Friends, YWCA of Metropolitan Chicago; Member, Women’s Bar Association of Illinois; Trustee, Jewish Women’s Foundation, Chicago; Steering Committee, Jewish Women’s Foundation, Chicago. Ms. Joseph also actively supports many pet welfare organizations including Young at Heart and Defenders of Wildlife.

Public Appearances

Ms. Joseph appears on a regular basis in national and local print, radio and television media including Barron’s, Crain’s, Fox Business, Bloomberg TV and local media. She has been a frequent speaker in many venues, which have included the Jewish Federations of North America Investment Institute, Lake County Estate Planning Council, MAR Hedge, Investment Management Institute, Illinois Valley Estate Planning Conference, the Chicago Business Leaders Breakfast, the PrivateBank and Trust Company’s Wealth Management Forums, and the Philanthropy Forum hosted by the Jewish Women’s Foundation of Chicago. Ms. Joseph has also earned the Five Star Wealth Manager award for 8 years.

Awards and Accomplishments

Ms. Joseph graduated from New Trier east with honors. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami, Florida with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with majors in both Finance and Management; and cum laude with her Juris Doctor degree. She completed a macroeconomics program with an “A” at Northwestern University. Ms. Joseph has passed both the Illinois and Florida bar exams and the Series 7, Series 24, Series 63, and the Series 65 securities industry exams, (now lapsed).

Credentialed as a registered investment adviser (RIA) or a registered investment adviser representative; 2. Actively licensed as a RIA or as a principal of a registered investment adviser firm for a minimum of 5 years; 3. Favorable regulatory and complaint history review (As defined by FSP, the wealth manager has not; A. Been subject to a regulatory action that resulted in a license being suspended or revoked, or payment of a fine; B. Had more than a total of three settled or pending complaints filed against them and/or a total of five settled, pending, dismissed or denied complaints with any regulatory authority or FSP's consumer complaint process. Unfavorable feedback may have been discovered through a check of complaints registered with a regulatory authority or complaints registered through FSP's consumer complaint process; feedback may not be representative of any one client's experience; C. Individually contributed to a financial settlement of a customer complaint; D. Filed for personal bankruptcy within the past 11 years; E. Been terminated from a financial services firm within the past 11 years; F. Been convicted of a felony); 4. Fulfilled their firm review based on internal standards; 5. Accepting new clients.
