Jeff Bernier CFP®, ChFC, CFS
The president and chief investment officer of TandemGrowth Financial Advisors, LLC, Jeff has been providing personalized financial advice to high-earning individuals and families since 1986. After starting his career with a large firm with limited products and services, he made the decision to form his own registered investment advisory (RIA) firm where he had the freedom to provide holistic, objective advice. Three decades later, Jeff couldn’t be prouder of his team’s success and the firm’s continued dedication to fee-only financial planning, its recognition as a National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) advisory firm, and its commitment to serving as a fiduciary for our clients.
Jeff oversees the firm’s investment research and portfolio management team and develops its overall investment strategy. He also works directly with clients, helping to evaluate the opportunities, benefits, costs, and tradeoffs of their personal financial and life choices. A frequent speaker and published author, Jeff enjoys sharing his experiences on such issues as tax planning strategies, retirement income distributions, and asset allocation for business executives, retirees, and long-term investors throughout the Southeast.
Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Georgia and a master's degree in financial planning from The College for Financial Planning in Denver. Committed to continuing education, he has also undertaken training and completed the requirements for advanced professional certifications. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®)professional, a Certified Fund Specialist (CFS), and a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). Jeff is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the fee-only National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), and the Phoenix Group, a national group of elite wealth advisors who meet periodically to collaborate on industry best practices.
Jeff is a member of the Atlanta Athletic Club and enjoys golf, reading, travel, and serving on mission trips, and he is committed to lifelong learning. In 2013 he attended The Halftime Institute and is passionate about helping executives in transition move from success to significance. He resides in John’s Creek with his wife, Ashley, and their children, Nicholas and Natalie. Jeff and Ashley are members of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church.
