Coming highly recommended, I had the opportunity and luxury of working with Dave on two separate projects and in that, finding two separate apartments. Before these projects, I was clueless about anything and everything having to do with real estate and buying a home. Having let him know this, he sort of held our hands when it came to certain steps. I much appreciated that. I was most impressed by his bargaining/competitive skills. In the first unit we found, he was able to get the seller down from 219k to 207k. The other unit he got the seller down to 200k from 205k - even then, he asked if we wanted to try to get the seller to go lower but we decided not to, mostly because I was in a position hurried to move. The other thing that most comes to mind when I think about working and viewing apartments with Dave is his vision. Perhaps so as not to have a client feel pressured in any way, he doesn’t just throw the info at you, but Dave has a plethora of knowledge about things that could be improved upon in the apartment, as well as how those things could be done and how much they would cost. Basically, he has solid knowledge like that of a ‘flipper.’ So if you work with him and have a question or want advice, I encourage you to ask him! I’m so glad I did. Imperative to me, I can always and have always been able to trust him. Not only was he highly recommendedby a past client, but I personally got an immediate sense and/or impression that I could be real with him about anything related to the unit we were viewing and he always had an answer. In the rare occasion that he didn't have an immediate answer for about something in a unit, he would contact whomever he needed to contact to get our question answered and in a very quick fashion. Lastly, just to mention, although we were only looking in the 200-225 range, the person who recommended him had worked with him on 700k deals so he must be prepared to work with a multitude of price ranges. P.S. he is one snazzy dresser :) but on that note, in all seriousness, it kind of reflects his aforementioned ability to view units through the lens of what one could improve on, if they wished. In my personal experience, probably the best aspect of going through the purchasing a home process, was that I felt like I had a whole team working with me on my individual case. By that, I mean that: From Dave, he referred us to a mortgage broker that he had past positive experiences with and then we were also referred to the lawyer that we used. Ultimately, his referrals were phenomenal and thus all three of the pieces that are imperative in purchasing a property, knew each other from past jobs so when it came to things such as email, we were all able to communicate back and forth as a team which not only saved time and kept information accurate between all parties, but I came to realize it was built like what felt like a cushion, hehe! Silly as it sounds, but true, I miss having him as a right hand man, now that our deal closed.
