Matthew Shaffer is an experienced Realtor who brings a strong background in business and finance to his position as a RE/MAX sales associate. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and an MBA with concentrations in Finance, International Business and Management. Matt is a former co-owner of a Detroit construction business, where he managed a staff of 80 people and coordinated activities of multiple departments. He’s also been involved in real estate development, successfully managing multi-region construction projects and honing his superb negotiating skills.
Matt is well-qualified to deal with the most complicated real estate transactions, and appreciates the opportunity to work with people from diverse backgrounds and with varying circumstances.
He genuinely enjoys getting to know each of his customers, and strives to invest the necessary time to determine the best solution for each of them. Matt truly gains a sense of satisfaction from being able to assist his customers in analyzing and understanding all facets of a property
purchase, sale, or lease. As a result of his enthusiastic efforts to help preserve the character of his historic neighborhood, Matt was appointed to the City of St. Augustine’s Planning and Zoning Board and recently completed a second three-year term. Through his work on the Board, Matt has been able to bring valuable insight into the unique concerns associated with owning property within the city’s historic districts. Matt works diligently to maintain a solid reputation as a professional in the local real estate industry... someone who is appreciated as a helpful and knowledgeable resource, and who is respected as an honest and trustworthy ally.
