Message from Vickie: "About Me"
I have always had a passion for real estate! Even while on vacation I always loved to grab a real estate magazine and pour over the homes for sale to get a feel for pricing and availability.
In 1997 I was able to turn that passion into a career in Houston, having just recently moved to Texas. In 1999, my family moved to the Austin area and I immediately started building my business. I hit the road every day to gain knowledge of the market and inventory. In 2000 I joined an Internet real estate company with a business model based on the latest technology at that time. My first year in business in Austin I helped 41 clients buy and sell homes. I did not have a specific territory, and my business took me all over the Austin area and surrounding metro areas – north, south, east and west. That remained the standard for my business over the years and allowed me to gain a wealth of market knowledge. I still work that way today.
Prior to starting my real estate career, I worked in accounting and software development. I enjoy bringing that knowledge to my real estate business, using the latest technologies to be more efficient and save time for myself and my clients.
In serving my clients, one of my strongest desires is to build and nurture relationships that last – relationships based on trust and excellent service. As a result, I work almost exclusively by referral.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband Jeff, my daughter Allison, and my English Springer Spaniel, Jean-Luc. I also manage a personal vacation rental property on the Gulf Coast of Alabama. I love Austin, the beautiful Texas Hill Country and the Highland Lakes. I spend as much time as possible seeing the sites around Austin, especially the great Austin music venues. I am an avid music fan and love going to concerts, and I also enjoy travel, cooking, gardening and yoga.
I truly love my career in real estate! Although challenging at times, I find it to be very rewarding to guide my clients through the emotional ups and downs of buying and selling real estate. They know I truly care about them! They know they can always reach out to me, even if only for a little friendly advice!
