Professional Approach

At WOLD Financial, LLC. planning starts with you. While a one-size fits all approach may be common, we specialize in tailoring investment plans to fit your life. What is important to you, is important to us. Your goals become our goals. We are dedicated to serving you and your family diligently.

Investing is inherently as uncomfortable as it is unknowable. With this in mind, our approach is to plan with purpose to avoid costly emotional mistakes.  We are your coach and your guide toward the future.

When Troy founded the firm over 30 years ago, he responded to what he noticed was an industry trend that favored products over principles. Though these misguided values still exist, WOLD Financial, LLC remains more committed to clients than ever. Troy built the company on a bedrock of solid principles, which he strives to instill in each of his client relationships. As a long-term investor, Troy believes that time, not timing, can be the best teacher. Though it inevitably includes the ups and downs of markets, time teaches that patience, prudence, and perseverance are of the utmost importance. By the same token, time also reveals the danger of panicking and making rushed decisions. Troy's goal is to teach his clients the same lessons that he has learned across his decades in the financial services industry.

A Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Troy earned his accreditations through The American College of Financial Services. He holds his lifetime member status with the Million Dollar Round Table and has received the Five Star Professional Wealth Manager Award for nine consecutive years, from 2013 to the present. This honor is awarded to the top 7% of financial professionals in the industry. Outside of the office, Troy enjoys volunteering and spending time with his wife and daughter, whether on nature walks, biking, or spending time at the family cabin on Bay Lake.

Tayne has had a passion for finance for as long as he can remember. His enthusiasm for planning stemmed from a foundational experience in his youth when his father died at a young age. The fallout left his family with more questions than answers, but it was the protection of life insurance and its many features that allowed Tayne to continue living a life of opportunity. He went on to earn his BA from the University of Minnesota, experiencing firsthand the value of proper planning to navigate life’s many uncertainties. As a financial advisor, Tayne truly enjoys helping clients identify and help achieve their most valued goals. For Tayne, being an advisor isn’t a job. It’s a relationship founded on clarity; a journey that is enhanced by personalized financial strategies.

Tayne believes personal finance is a public health issue that deserves more comprehensive attention. In pursuit of his passion, he earned his Masters of Public Health in Public Health Administration and Policy with an emphasis on senior care financing from the University of Minnesota in 2010. His Master’s Project, “Taming the 800lb Gorilla: Addressing the Long-Term Care Financing Crisis in Minnesota,” received Master’s Project of the Year, and he later presented it to the Minnesota Department of Health’s Transform 2010 conference on aging. When Tayne is not enjoying time with clients or volunteering, you can find him and his wife introducing their children to the great parks, zoos, farmers markets, and restaurants in the Twin Cities.
