About Christopher Heckadon, CLU®

Chris is the founder and Managing Partner of Summit Pointe Financial Group. Whether on the front lines of working with business owners or advocating for those who have little or no voice in financial decisions, Chris prides himself on seeing the firm’s clients reach financial success.  He feels his greatest asset is the team he’s built around him who work together to create customized plans for his clients.

With over 25 years of industry experience, Chris specializes in the areas of reducing taxes in retirement, through the Strategic Movement Around Retirement Taxation (SMART) Strategies, financial planning, asset management, and customized executive benefits programs. He earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in March of 2004 and is pursuing his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations.

Chris was born in San Diego and raised in Kansas City.  He graduated from Central Missouri State University (CMSU), was a 2-year Co-Captain for the Mules wrestling team, and a two-time NCAA National Qualifier.

As the 2001 World FIAS Sombo Champion, Chris understands the importance of dedication, motivation, and discipline.  He is proud to see the same traits in his three children.  His oldest daughter played soccer at Northwest Missouri State University, graduated and is working on her MBA, his son plays soccer for Sporting BV Academy and for Lee’s Summit West High School, and his youngest daughter swims competitively for Empire Swim Club.  Chris enjoys playing golf and is a member of Loch Lloyd Country Club and The Club at Porto Cima.

Unfavorable feedback may have been discovered through a check of complaints registered with a regulatory authority or complaints registered through FSP’s consumer complaint process; feedback may not be representative of any one client’s experience; C. Individually contributed to a financial settlement of a customer complaint; D. Filed for personal bankruptcy within the past 11 years; E. Been terminated from a financial services firm within the past 11 years; F. Been convicted of a felony); 4. Fulfilled their firm review based on internal standards; 5. Accepting new clients.
