Following her career in the legal and medical products fields, Edie sought a way to make her more personal impact on peoples’ lives and so earned her real estate license back in 1995. In 2001 she suggested to John that he get his license too, and they formed a team, The Glenn Connection. Together they have been able to combine their many talents, skills, and breadth of expertise to best serve their clients’ interests. Edie excels in handling most of the day-to-day client contact, while John takes care of the many business and technical aspects. “You're dealing directly with us… no assistants. We pride ourselves in not being aggressive salespeople. We simply tell people the pros and cons, but never push people into things. We trust that our clients can make their own decisions, of course, with the benefit of professional guidance from us.” Their philosophy: “We pride ourselves on providing the same care to every buyer and seller. Born and raised in Liverpool, England, John's background is in Engineering and then Marketing. Since pooling their talents, The Glenns have organically developed their real estate business by serving suburban Chicagoland with a primary focus on the Western and Northwest Suburbs, which they know so well from a long history of living and working here. Within that wider sphere, Edie and John don't limit their business to any particular area. “Most of our business comes from referrals and past clients. Though we don’t really focus on any specific market, of course we do get a lot of core business close to home, where people know and trust us best.” That model has allowed their business to flourish as they receive grateful referrals from multiple sources, with so many people having experienced their high level of customer service and professionalism. Outside of real estate, Edie and John believe in helping their communities thrive by serving numerous local organizations.
