The FIVE STAR Commercial Real Estate Agent evaluation process is designed to identify commercial real estate agents in a local market that score highest in overall satisfaction.
Commercial real estate agents are rated by their customers and commercial real estate industry professionals based on market knowledge, negotiation skills, communication, understands the client's needs, ethics, represents the client's best interests, value for fee charged, post-transaction service and overall client satisfaction.
Under the Program, 500 to 2000 commercial real estate brokers and 5,000 to 8,000 magazine subscribers are asked to name and evaluate up to four commercial real estate agents. The number of individuals in the sample varies based on the size of the local market. Both negative and positive responses regarding each professional is evaluated. In addition to the survey results, other evaluation criteria, such as acceptable disciplinary action, and evaluation results by a panel of local industry experts are incorporated into the overall evaluation process.
The final list identifies the commercial real estate agents, of those evaluated, in the local market that score highest in overall satisfaction. The final list represents less than 7% of the commercial real estate agents in the local market. See the Research Methodology Summary for more information on the research process.
