As an experienced business and estate attorney, Scott advises clients on how to effectively structure their business and real estate ventures, as well as insulate wealth from transfer taxes.
Scott assists small to large business owners/executives and their families in accumulating and preserving long-term business and personal wealth. Scott frequently writes and lectures on a variety of sophisticated tax topics. He has authored extensive course materials for CLE of Colorado, Inc., National Business Institute, Inc., Rocky Mountain Estate Planning Council, Greater Denver Tax Counsel's Association, ING-Security Life of Denver, and National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. He also has written several articles for The Colorado Lawyer and Denver Real Estate Journal.

Five Star Professional, as a third-party research firm, administered a survey, by mail and phone, to 1 in 4 high-net-worth households (over 73,000 consumers) and registered financial services representatives (over 8,500 financial services professionals) to evaluate the approximately 15,500 wealth managers in the Denver area (includes Denver, Douglas, Jefferson, Adams, Arapahoe, and Broomfield counties in the state of Colorado). The evaluation was based on nine criteria, including customer service, integrity, knowledge/expertise, communication, value for fee charged, meeting of financial objectives, post sale service, quality of recommendations, and overall satisfaction. After review by a panel of local industry experts and a review of regulatory history, Five Star Professional determined the final list of 2011 Five Star Wealth Managers scoring highest in overall satisfaction and representing less than 7% of the wealth managers in the Denver area.
