Always there for my clients |
I call Westchester home, although I was born in Costa Rica. I am fluent in English and Spanish, I have an MBA and a passion for real estate. After years of experience in the financial, marketing and real estate fields I became an independent real estate broker, Giohomes Real Estate, LLC. This company represents my commitment to service, professionalism and integrity with a community of real estate buyers and sellers. I pride myself on delivering excellent service to my clients, prompt responses and the promise to represent their best interest at all times.
Typically real estate agents work under the umbrella of 5 or 6 companies that we all know; we see them advertised on newspapers, TV and the Internet, they are what is better known as corporate America. I worked for corporate America in the past and it was not a great experience for me, in that culture the client is just a number and I was more interested in the needs of the individual not the profits of the company I worked for. The label of independent broker suits my personality a lot better, I am responsible for my own actions and I want to be responsible. When a buyer or a seller picks me to represent his or her best interest they can be sure that I am going to do just that. For me staying alive in the business is just the result of doing things right every time for my clients. My name as an independent real estate broker is as good as the last deal I closed.
Internet has been a great invention and has leveled the playing field for real estate sellers and buyers. These days everything can be found on the Internet and that has liberated in a way those that were once hostages of the agents that represented them. Any seller can go on the Internet and check the marketing efforts his/her agent is doing to keep his/her property in the eyes of the buyer; the buyer on the other hand can go on the Internet and research not only the houses for sale and its features but can also compare values, investigate the neighborhood, schools, parks, amenities, etc.
Perhaps the most important thing a prospective homebuyer or seller can do these days before hiring an agent is to run a search on the Internet and find out the history of that agent: how many deals the agent closed in the last year, if he/she represented the seller or the buyer and more important, what people are saying about the service provided by that agent.
We are not yet at the point were we can buy a house on the Internet; pictures can be deceiving especially when taken with a wide angle camera and the experience of approaching a neighborhood can never be duplicated in the Web. Until then buyers and sellers of real estate should always hire an agent to represent them in the process. Please make sure to read the guidelines of your local Department of State when it comes to real estate agents dealing with the public and run a search on prospective agents you plan to interview.
Best of luck on the purchase/sale of your property!
