For 34 years, Ameriprise Private Wealth Advisor Bob Bastiaans has been helping clients develop financial planning strategies that address multigenerational planning as well as day-to-day needs. Bob strives to enhance his clients’ abilities to make financial and investment decisions that align with their values and help to achieve their goals. Bob and his highly talented financial planning team know that everyone’s financial picture is different, that priorities can and will change over time, and that truly understanding the long- and short-term goals of each client is a vital basis for developing a financial plan.
Bob was inducted into the Ameriprise Financial Hall of Fame in 2005; he is in the top one percent of all Ameriprise financial advisors. Five Star Professional, as a third-party research firm, administered a survey, by mail and phone, to 1 in 4 high-net-worth households (over 73,000 consumers) and registered financial services representatives (over 8,500 financial services professionals) to evaluate the approximately 15,500 wealth managers in the Denver area (includes Denver, Douglas, Jefferson, Adams, Arapahoe, and Broomfield counties in the state of Colorado). The evaluation was based on nine criteria, including customer service, integrity, knowledge/expertise, communication, value for fee charged, meeting of financial objectives, post sale service, quality of recommendations, and overall satisfaction. After review by a panel of local industry experts and a review of regulatory history, Five Star Professional determined the final list of 2011 Five Star Wealth Managers scoring highest in overall satisfaction and representing less than 7% of the wealth managers in the Denver area.

• Only wealth managers with more than five years of experience in the financial services industry are considered.
